A journey into the future of Workplace Safety

The future is looking to be a far greater challenge as organisations large and small grapple with the ever changing and increasingly stringent safety legislation.

As some business leaders say it has gone too far and is getting out of hand there is a small few who think there is no aspect of their business that deserves greater focus otherthan the protection of it’s employees. Most organisations however fall somewhere in between, recognising the importance of Workplace Safety and protecting their employees doing what they need to in order to achieve compliance.

The question needs to be asked – Is it about more than just compliance?

Having a documented system that details your procedures and has all of the relevant forms and checklists is not enough. As a senior manager would you be comfortable holding up the procedure manual when facing fines or possible jail terms, and saying, “Your Honour, I have a documented procedure manual.”

Think for a moment what a prosecution will do for your personal life let alone what it will do to your business………….
