Comment on Workplace Health and Safety Regulation.

News Flash!

The Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2008(QLD) Revision is now open for comment. 

The Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 1997 will expire on 1 September 2008. As a result, the Workplace Health and Safety Regulation 2008 is proposed to take its place. A Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) has been prepared to explain the proposals.
 
This RIS is divided into two distinct parts. Section A outlines the Parts of the Regulation that are being reviewed and are open for comment. These are:

  • Part 4: Workplace Health and Safety Officers
  • Part 7: Injuries, Illnesses and Dangerous Events
  • Part 12A: Conducting Recreational Snorkelling

Section B of the RIS outlines the Parts of the Regulation that are not being reviewed and the rationale for this.

What is a RIS?

A Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) outlines the impact of these proposals and seeks public feedback.

The closing date for comments is Friday 29 February 2008.
